Definition of composite material terminology:-
composite materials:-
A Composite material is a
material made from two or more constituent materials with different physical or
chemical properties .when it is combined it produces a material with
characteristics different from the individual components.
Orthotropic martial:-
Orthotropic materials have
material properties that differ along three mutually-orthogonal twofold axes of
rotational symmetry and their properties change when measured from different
directions.
Anisotropy:-
is the property of material
which depends on direction, which implies different properties in different directions,
opposite to that of isotropy. It can be
defined as a difference, when measured along different axes, in a material's
physical or mechanical properties.
